A Victorian Copper 1 Gallon Measuring Jug.  Traditionally haystack design with a wide base narrowing up to the flared spout and with a strap handle.  Stamped 1 Gallon on the front and it also has a weights and measure stamp on the inside of the spout.
A useful and decorative item for a country style kitchen.
