An Early 19th C. Mahogany Wine Cooler or Cellarette.  This lovely Sarcophagus Wine Cooler dates from around 1810.  It has a tapering body and stands on bun feet.  The interior would have originally been lined with lead to keep the wine cool but this has been replaced a very long time ago and now has a painted wooden interior. 
It is a nice decorative piece and still perfect for storing wine or used for other storage purposes.
In solid condition with age related signs of wear and use.  It does have a key but the lock no longer works.
