A late 19th C. French Marble Top Shop Counter.  This piece was originally used in a Fromagerie and dates from around 1880-90.
It has an Oak carcass with bookmatched Mahogany veneer.  Having 2 drawers with brass fittings above 2 doors that have molded panels and geometric detailing.  With decorative carved corbels and fluted accents at the corners.  The top is solid marble with a shallow molded border and a slightly recessed central panel.
In original condition with age related signs of wear and use to the veneer and it has had some historic repair.  The drawers do have keys but the locks no longer work,
