A 19th C. Chinese Lacquered Spring Bench. This pretty bench was historically placed outside businesses or used as hall seating.
It is constructed from Elm and has hand carved cloud motifs on both sides of the apron of the bench.
A very attractive and colourful piece of furniture that could also be used as a low console.
In original condition with obvious signs of wear to the lacquer finish, and one end of the bench is missing part of the apron and a small strut.
