An 18th C. Spanish Capipote or cage doll.  A capipote is an Italian or Spanish mannequin typically carved from wood with articulated arms.  These devotional figures were designed  to be dressed according to the occasion, the clothing would have hung over the support "cage" frame for religious processions and ceremonies.

This one dates from around 1780 and originates from Pamplona, Spain.
