An early 20th C. Goldsmith's "Ideal Tray" Steam Trunk.  The Rauchbach Goldsmith Co. began manufacturing steam trunks during the late 1800's during the era of glamourous travel.
 
This trunk is a fine example and has lovely Iron rivets and decoration to the front and top.
It also has an internal tray which cleverly lifts up and out when the lid is lifted.  The interior of the trunk is covered in the original fabric in the Fleur de Lis deisgn.
It does have signs of wear and tear appropriate with age and use but is in original condition and a great storage piece of furniture.
