A Victorian Oak Tilting Office Chair.  Constructed from beautiful solid Golden Oak, this chair dates from around c.1900.  It has lovely shaped arms and the curved back and has a solid top with decorative fretwork beneath.  
The clever mechanism allows the chair to be height adjustable and enables the seat to tilt back whilst in use. 
Manufactured by The Shannon Limited who were furniture makers known for manufacturing and selling office furniture such as desks and chairs.
It would have originally had castors enabling it to swivel but these have been removed at some date.  In a lovely solid condition with minor age related signs of use.
