A late 19th C. English Pokerwork Chest. This very pretty piece also serves as a small table, as the top lifts to reveal storage space. There is wear and tear as expected from a piece of this age and the top has faded over the years but it is a nice and solid piece of furniture.
Pyrography or Pokerwork is a free handed art of decorating wood with burn marks made with a heated metal point.
