An early 19th C. Pine Wedding Chest with hand painted decoration to the front and dated 1836.
This lovely item is the perfect storage piece and could be used as a blanket box at the end of a bed or for storing toys, shoes etc. but it would also make a great coffee table.
It has obvious signs of wear and tear as would be expected, along with signs of ancient woodworm which has been treated.  It has had later bun feet added at some point and also given replacement hinges.
