A rather splendid 19th C. Pine Post Office Counter. This wonderful piece was used during the reign of George V and came from the village of Claverley in Shropshire.
It has 3 deep drawers over 2 large cupboards, each cupboard has a working lock and key and the central drawer bears the official Post Office label.
In lovely original condition with signs of wear as would be expected after many years of daily use. The original top has had 3 small circular holes filled which had been made to allow for modern day equipment.
Today this piece could be used as a central island in a kitchen and of course, it would look wonderful used in a retail setting again.
